故事簡介 Synopsis｜

‍1950年代，一群因思想與當局不同而被羅織罪名移送到綠島囚禁的年輕醫師們，在綠島成立醫務所，人才濟濟、科別齊全，堪稱亞洲當時最強的醫療機構。這些被稱為「新生」的犯人不只醫生，還有農民、藝術家、老師、學生…...。有人因理想入獄，有人受親友牽連，唯一的共通點，是要在這嚴苛的環境生存下去。他們的身軀及命運被囚禁在黑潮環繞的孤島，卻為這個貧瘠之地帶來改變。

In the 1950s, a group of young doctors—imprisoned on Green Island for holding beliefs that differed from the ruling regime—founded a medical clinic behind bars. Among the prisoners, known as “New Life” inmates, were not only physicians but also farmers, artists, teachers, and students. Some were jailed for their ideals, others for their associations.

Despite their confinement on an isolated island surrounded by the Kuroshio Current, these men and women built what became one of the most skilled and complete medical institutions in Asia at the time. Their bodies and destinies were imprisoned, yet their resilience transformed the barren island—and left an enduring mark of humanity amid oppression.

配樂概念 Music Idea｜

‍在本劇中，我負責創作主角阿貴的主題音樂，並為許多日常片段、笑鬧時光，以及情感深沉或張力強烈的場景配樂。同時也譜寫了片頭曲，並親自為劇中所有角色的小提琴演奏片段進行重新錄製與後期配音。為了貼近劇情的鄉土氛圍，除了以弦樂呼應小提琴的設定外，也加入尼龍弦吉他、手風琴及弦樂撥奏等元素，讓聲音更具生活感與土地的氣息。整體希望呈現出在這座被火燒島困住的世界裡，儘管環境艱困，仍能感受到溫暖與生命力的音樂樣貌。

In this series, I composed the main theme for the protagonist, A-Guei, as well as the music for many everyday, lighthearted, and emotionally charged scenes. I also wrote the opening theme and personally re-recorded all the violin performances heard in the show—those played by the characters were fully recreated and dubbed in post-production.

To capture the grounded, local atmosphere, I combined strings with nylon-string guitar, accordion, and pizzicato elements, giving the score a sense of warmth and earthiness. Overall, the music aims to portray life on this so-called “Fire-Burning Island” as one that, despite hardship, remains tender, vibrant, and full of humanity.
